FranU offers a three-course series for students or professionals who want to acquire or enhance their skills and knowledge in healthcare risk management. Each course is a three-credit class and each of the three modules will be offered on a regular rotation. The second for credit course begins March 6 and the two day module will be presented April 14-15, 2023. Course three in the series will be offered Summer 2023. Each course is delivered online with one face-to-face seminar in the eight-week session.
FranU has partnered with the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) to offer this series of risk management education and certification. Upon completion of the three courses students will receive a certificate from ASHRM. This series is designed for risk and quality managers, insurance and claims professionals, safety officers, healthcare administrators, financial officers, clinicians, and other health care professionals or individuals who want to work in the risk management area. We provide three options for enrolling and completing the course series.
Option One: Current FranU graduate or senior-level undergraduate students may register through the university for the healthcare risk management courses as an elective.
Option Two: Prospective students who want to enroll in the healthcare risk management courses for credit should complete an application as a non-degree student using this link. Once the application is submitted you will receive instruction for registration.
Option Three: Prospective students with business or healthcare experience or who have an interest in learning and working in healthcare risk management may register for the face-to-face two day seminar only to will be offered April 14-15, 2023 on the FranU campus. Use this link to register.
The seminar is included in option one and two above and there is no additional cost to the student.
