Sara Landreneau Kleinpeter is the Executive Director of Development & Fundraising Operations at FranU since April 2023. She served as the Coordinator of Board Services for Louisiana's Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) for nearly ten years. There she oversaw operations for the Board of Supervisors, the Facilities Corporation Board, and the Foundation Board of Directors – and other duties as assigned. A Louisiana State University Alumnus with a Master of Education degree and Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, she began her professional career as a Middle School Special Education Teacher with the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. In January 2004, Kleinpeter joined the staff of Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco as the Assistant Director of Scheduling before being promoted to the position of Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Jimmy Clarke, and First Gentleman Raymond S. Blanco. Following the Blanco administration, Sara served as the Dean's Office Coordinator in the E. J. Ourso College of Business at LSU. In 2009, Sara joined the staff of the Louisiana Land Trust (LLT) as the Executive Assistant to the Director, Michael Taylor, while also serving as Secretary of the Board of Directors for LLT. Kleinpeter became a member of the LCTCS staff in 2014 and served as the Southern Regional Member-at-Large for the Professional Board Staff Network (PBSN) Executive Committee. Sara is a member of the 2018 Class of Leadership Baton Rouge, the 2019 Class of Leadership Louisiana, and the 2021 CHANGEmakers Cohort. Sara is a Ph.D. student at LSU with a research focus on generational differences in the workforce and how that impacts the leadership of an organization. She anticipates graduating in May 2025.
Kleinpeter is a past President of the Baton Rouge Area Alumnae Chapter for Delta Zeta Sorority, former Academics and Philanthropy Advisor, and current Panhellenic Advisor for the Sigma Chapter of Delta Zeta at LSU. She is a parishioner at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, having served for ten years as the Coordinator of the Sunday Nursery, a participant in the Five-Year Strategic Planning Committee, and a former Chairperson of the Formation Commission. She is an active member of the STM St. Matthew's Guild, the past President of STM Women's Ministry, and the past Secretary for the STM Pastoral Council. Sara is a regularly scheduled Lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and a weekly Perpetual Adorer of the Holy Eucharistic. She served as a member of the STM Festival Committee and co-chair of the STM Auction. In addition to STM and DZ, Sara volunteers for the Bella Bowman Foundation (Mary Poppins). She is the recipient of the 2023 Mother Seaton Award from STM School. She serves on the Pennington YMCA Board, the YMCA Golf Committee, and the Leadership Baton Rouge Alumni Board.
She was born in Opelousas, LA, and grew up in the historic town of Washington, LA. She's lived in Baton Rouge, LA, since 1998 and calls it home. She is the daughter of Pamela and Dwight Landreneau and a proud mom to her son, Graham.
