Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University’s Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences program was granted full accreditation from Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

The Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences program is designed to educate and form servant leaders in the field of health and wellness.

“Establishing an accredited program for FranU has been a personal blessing, to showcases academic excellence in the field of nutrition and dietetics. I want to thank staff, faculty, students, graduates, preceptors and our advisory boards for assisting in making this goal become reality,” said Rachel Fournet, MSNS professor.

ACEND is a well-known accrediting agency for many reputed universities and colleges that are preparing students as a registered dietitian nutritionists. ACEND is constantly working towards improving dietetic and nutrition programs and is always behind making a student's education exceptional. ACEND is certified by the United States Department of Education, which again oversees if colleges meet national and international standards.

Accreditation recognizes the university and programs and helps them by assisting them with the improvements to be made. Accreditation helps in increasing the value of the institution and the programs offered by them and protect the students and public interests and values, helps to build trust among people and it is a certification of the quality, promotes professionalism and enhances employment opportunities for eligible students, assures that the curriculum provides the required skills and knowledge to their students and enables graduates for the certified registration exam to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
