This course focuses upon a specific author, theme, period, or genre in American literary history. Class sessions may include lecture, discussion, film, and presentations. One analytical research paper is required. This course may be taken for credit more than once when topics differ. Successful completion on ENGL 2320 and ENGL 4310 is strongly recommended.
