2025-2026 Information
- REACH Badge Registration Deadline: The 2026 REACH Badge program will begin accepting students in January 2026 through SoftDocs. Eligible students considering the REACH badge should register early since the program can accept only 20 students total in Spring 2026. Students interested in the badge with a December 2026 anticipated graduation date should participate in Spring 2026, since we are only planning on offering the program annually at this time.
- FranU Bioethics Lecture Series: Students must attend one of the scheduled FranU Bioethics Lecture Series events in the Spring 2026 semester (precise dates and times forthcoming but will be held in March 2026). This will provide exposure to critical discussions in bioethics, aligning with REACH Badge goals.
- REACH Badge Ethics Intensive: Date forthcoming but will occur on a Saturday in early May. Students must attend the full day-long ethics Intensive, designed to deepen their understanding of ethical principles in practice.

Student Testimonials
Reflections on the ethical and faith-based foundations gained through the REACH Badge program.
The REACH Badge program intersects at a point where faith and the desire to serve others in a healthcare setting meet. It teaches participants how to use Catholic ethical principles to navigate real-life, complex clinical scenarios. It provides profound insight into the ethical dilemmas we face daily as clinicians. I encourage everyone to participate in the REACH badge to enhance their understanding of the 'why' behind the decision-making process. It will assist you, as a future leader in healthcare, in applying faith-based principles to navigate ethical dilemmas, while equipping you with the confidence and preparation needed for real-world application.
Chance Selvidge
Doctor of Nursing Practice-Nurse Anesthesia Program, Fall 2026

Every FranU student given the opportunity should consider participating in the REACH Badge program. As a graduate who will likely never work professionally in a healthcare setting, I am glad I took the opportunity myself. It was helpful to consider Catholic teaching on how we should face morally unclear situations. I appreciated sitting around a table with fellow students and professors, who each shared valuable insights and perspectives so that together, we could come to a better understanding of the ethical situation of each case study and some morally acceptable options we would have in the ambiguous situations.
