At Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU), we are committed to supporting your academic success and holistic growth. Academic Advising and the Learning Resource Center (LRC) work together to help you navigate your educational journey, strengthen your skills and achieve both your academic and career goals. Advising is a collaborative part of the between students and advsiors, providing guidance, planning support and personal mentorship in alignment with FranU’s Franciscan catholic mission and values.

 

Mission Statement 

The mission of the Office of Advising is to provide academic advising and support services to assist and retain students within and beyond the freshman year and ensure that they are adequately equipped with the resources necessary for their success.

Learning Resource Center 

The LRC, located on the first floor of St. Francis Hall, offers additional resources to support your success. Staffed by professional and peer tutors and academic coaches, the LRC provides one-on-one and group tutoring in subjects such as writing, math, biology, nursing and more. Academic coaches can assist with time management, study strategies, note-taking and test preparation. The LRC Testing Center includes forty-two computer stations for proctored group exams. Together, academic advising and the LRC provide a comprehensive support system designed to help you thrive throughout your time at FranU.  

 

Academic Advising Services 

We provide academic advising to all first-year and first-time students a FranU. Our advisors assist with scheduling classes, monitoring curriculum progression, and offering guidance to help you make the most of your academic and career opportunities.
