FranU Undergraduate and Graduate Programs
The undergraduate and graduate programs at FranU span the sciences, humanities, business, nursing and allied health sciences. We offer associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees, as well as certificate and training programs.
Three Schools To Support Your Journey
At FranU, your education is built on a foundation of excellence across three distinct schools: the School of Nursing, the School of Health Professions and the School of Arts & Sciences. Each school offers specialized programs designed to prepare you for meaningful careers while fostering critical thinking, ethical leadership and hands-on experience.
School of Health Professions
Students train in a state-of-the-art Simulated Environment Teaching Hospital (SETH) for various allied health professions. In addition to associate, bachelor’s and graduate programs, we offer certificate and training programs for those interested in technical careers.
School of Nursing
FranU’s top-ranked nursing school offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs focusing on rural and medically underserved populations. Rigorous coursework, cutting-edge learning technology and an emphasis on clinical experience prepare students for licensure exams upon graduation.
School of Arts & Sciences
FranU’s School of Arts & Sciences offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in the sciences, humanities and business, along with certificates and training programs. Our curriculum builds a strong foundation in critical thinking, problem-solving and ethical decision-making.
Experience Engaged, Service-Learning Based Formation
An integral part of a FranU education is establishing meaningful ties to the community through acts of service. Through partnerships with 120 community organizations across the state, students gain volunteering opportunities that enable them to work alongside local residents, tackle social issues and apply their knowledge to develop sustainable solutions.
Service-based learning instills a sense of responsibility with diverse populations within our community. It also allows students to reflect on how they can have a positive impact throughout their professional lives after graduation.
Academic Advising
The Department of Advising supports all first-year and first-time students at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University. The team assists students with class scheduling, ensures they stay on track with their curriculum plans, and provides ongoing guidance throughout their academic journey.
Research at FranU
FranU encourages students to follow their curiosity and conduct research throughout their studies. Students have the opportunity to work with nationally recognized faculty members, and the Office of Academic Research supports students with funding opportunities and resources as they develop proposals and grant applications.
At the Annual Research and Scholarship Showcase, students, faculty and alumni gather to share their findings and celebrate the groundbreaking work accomplished in our community.
Funding Your Education
We pride ourselves on being one of the country’s most affordable private Catholic universities. The Office of Financial Aid works closely with students and their families to help secure federal and state grants, scholarships, loans and other financial assistance such as work-study and the Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS). FranU also offers merit-based scholarships for incoming, transfer and graduate students.
