Grounded in the Franciscan tradition, the FranU School of Arts & Sciences offers associate, bachelor’s and graduate degrees. Designed to prepare you for a meaningful career in a wide variety of industries or to continue your studies in graduate and professional programs, the School of Arts & Sciences offers programs that encourage critical thinking, interdisciplinary exploration and active engagement.

At FranU, we offer a diverse array of programs in the arts, sciences, business, theology and more, allowing you to pursue your passions and achieve your goals.
Our Vision
The School of Arts & Sciences seeks to serve as a premier academic hub for facilitating student learning and vocational awareness. This will be accomplished by maintaining relevant, rigorous program offerings, superior learning spaces, highly-qualified faculty, extensive service-learning, research and internship/shadowing opportunities, all under the auspices of the Catholic Franciscan intellectual tradition.
School of Arts & Sciences Academic Programs
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degrees Offered
An undergraduate education in one of the School of Arts & Sciences Bachelor of Science programs grounds students in foundational principles related to biology, human health, psychology and more. We offer two Bachelor of Science programs: Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences.

Biology
This program provides a strong foundation in biology, chemistry and physics while emphasizing scientific inquiry and ethics. With multiple specialized concentrations, including pre-professional and accelerated pathways, students gain hands-on experience in labs and prepare for careers in healthcare, research and beyond.

Health Sciences
This program offers a flexible pathway for students with prior college credit to complete their degree. Through a cross-disciplinary curriculum rooted in evidence-based learning and Franciscan values, graduates gain integrated knowledge and skills for career advancement or entry into graduate and professional programs.
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degrees Offered
In our Bachelor of Arts programs, students examine humanity’s greatest questions and gain in-demand professional skills through in-depth reading, discussion and analysis of philosophy, literature, history, theology, psychology and beyond. Our Bachelor of Arts degrees include: Bachelor of Arts in Great Books, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Theology.

Great Books
This program invites students to explore timeless works from the classical era to today through seminar-style discussions. Focused on themes like beauty, nature and the good life, this program fosters critical thinking and meaningful dialogue. With internships, an academic minor and vocational discernment, graduates are prepared for diverse careers or graduate study.

Psychology
This program equips students with skills employers value, scientific reasoning, communication and ethical responsibility, while fostering Franciscan servant leadership. Through active learning, research and internships, graduates are prepared for careers in psychology, counseling, social work or advanced study. Students can also specialize in Applied Behavior Analysis for added career opportunities.

Theology
This program is rooted in the Franciscan tradition, preparing students for ministry roles and advanced theological studies. Through faith-driven service, theological inquiry and communal formation, graduates learn to contemplate the Word of God and bring hope and healing to their communities.
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
In our Bachelor of Business Administration program, students explore business, economics and entrepreneurship while developing essential professional skills. Our Bachelor of Business Administration degree is an online format for flexible learning.

Business Administration
This program prepares students for leadership roles in today’s dynamic business environment. Through a curriculum focused on management, finance, marketing and strategic decision-making, graduates gain the skills to excel in corporate, nonprofit and entrepreneurial settings or pursue advanced degrees.
Arts & Sciences Minors
FranU offers a number of arts and sciences minors for students interested in combining their degree program with a complementary course of study.
Graduate Degrees
We encourage those interested in advancing their career through a graduate education to explore the master’s degrees offered by the School of Arts & Sciences. These include: Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis and Online Master of Health Administration.

Applied Behavior Analysis
This program prepares students to make a meaningful impact on individuals with diverse behavioral needs. Through coursework, research and hands-on experiences, graduates gain expertise in skill acquisition, behavior modification and ethical practice. The program also offers an optional internship and equips students for employment or doctoral study in ABA.

Health Administration
This program equips students with the leadership skills and advanced knowledge needed to improve healthcare delivery. Offered fully online, this flexible program allows working professionals to learn from industry experts while gaining the tools to make healthcare more accessible, affordable and effective.
