Biography
Dr. Amanda Olinde is an Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Pre-licensure B.S.N. program and has been at FranU since 2014. She also teaches courses in the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program as well as the Physician Assistant (PA) program. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing in Nurse Midwifery in 2011 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2017 from Frontier Nursing University. Her professional accomplishments include being a FranU CITE Fellow (2022-2024 and 2025-2027) and an appointment to the Building a Competitive Workforce OER Course Development Faculty Team in 2024. Her clinical background includes obstetrics and women's health. She is passionate about women's health and improvement of maternal and neonatal outcomes. Dr. Olinde is an active member of Junior League of Baton Rouge as well as volunteering with The Red Shoes and Capital Area United Way.
