Biography

Haley Smith is an assistant professor at the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University Physician Assistant Program. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Haley earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University before attending LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport, where she obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2021. Following graduation, she practiced as a Physician Assistant in Gray, Louisiana, specializing in cardiology for three years. She returned home to Baton Rouge last year, where she continues to practice cardiology. Haley’s time serving as a preceptor for the university sparked her passion for education and ultimately inspired her to pursue a role in PA education, where she is dedicated to shaping and supporting the next generation of medical professionals.
