Biography

Dr. Carter has served as an Assistant Professor in PA education at FranU since 2016. A graduate of LSU with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, she began her career as a DNA analyst before earning her PA degree in 2008 as part of the first graduating class from Our Lady of the Lake College. Her passion for PA education led her to roles as a clinical preceptor and guest lecturer, ultimately becoming a full-time educator. In 2022, she earned a Doctor of Medical Science degree from the University of Lynchburg. Now serving as the PA Program Director at FranU, Dr. Carter is committed to advancing PA education and serving her community, particularly in cardiovascular care and autism spectrum advocacy.
