Biography
Matt Chappellie is an assistant professor at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University Physician Assistant Program. Born and raised in Louisiana, Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in athletic training from Louisiana State University in 2011. Following completion of his undergraduate degree, he worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer for 4 years in the Shreveport/Bossier City area before returning to PA school. He obtained his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center Shreveport in 2017 while serving as SGA president for the LSU School of Allied Health professions and being recognized for the Pi Alpha National PA Honor Society. Since that time, he has practiced as a PA in Baton Rouge with experience in both orthopedics as well as urgent care. His experiences have drawn him to PA education in order to pass along his knowledge and experience to help continue the growth of the PA profession.
