Biography

Tara is a certified physician associate/assistant and Louisiana native. Tara graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2004 with degrees in Biology and Medical Technology. She later obtained her master's degree from University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. She has experience in geriatric internal medicine, sleep medicine, and urgent care. She was also a member of the second class of NCCPA Ambassadors program from 2019-2021 and has been a part of numerous PA marketing campaigns. Tara Is passionate about education and advocacy. In educating patients and other healthcare providers about the prognosis and treatment or educating students on disease processes, diagnoses, and treatment plans, Ms. Milligan loves to serve in helping others to understand the realm of medicine. Tara is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Louisiana Academy of Physican Assistant where she serves on the Board of Directors and represents Louisiana at the House of Delegates meeting at the national AAPA conference. Ms. Milligan is an Assistant Professor in the didactic phase of the program and the Admissions Coordinator. She formally served as the Clinical Coordinator.
