Summer at FranU is a 2-day, on-campus experience! Live like a college student with immersive activities in our Simulated Environment Teaching Hospital, opportunities for a theology mock lecture, and connecting with potential FranU classmates. The 60 spaces for this event are first-come, first-served, and a unique event t-shirt and daily meals are included with your registration fee. Don’t wait to register!
The Future Nurses Program is hosted in tandem with Louisiana HOSA and is perfect for high school sophomores and juniors who are interested in becoming a nurse. You can take part in an intense 4-day program, learning about health issues, patient care, job readiness, study skills, postsecondary education, and more. This program will be held at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU) in Baton Rouge, and the application deadline is June 30, 2025.
The Franciscan Experience (TFE) Summer Institute is for high school underclassmen interested in taking a deep dive into theology and service through mentorship and community. You will gain perspective on life as a FranU student while spending six days bonding through your faith, exploring the Word of God, and celebrating the beauty found in the Catholic tradition. This 30 to 35-person program will be held at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU) in Baton Rouge, and students must be able to attend all 6 days.
