Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University Recognized as SFLA A+ Christian School

Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University has been recognized as an A+ Christian School by Students for Life of America (SFLA) and the Pro-Life Generation following a national review of Christian-affiliated colleges and universities.

 

SFLA reviewed 725 Christian colleges and universities to evaluate student-facing pregnancy resources. FranU was one of 66 institutions identified as promoting life-affirming resources while not promoting Planned Parenthood or other abortion providers.

 

FranU met the criteria for recognition by demonstrating support for pregnant and parenting students through publicly available resources. These may include promoting local Pregnancy Help Organizations, highlighting volunteer or employment opportunities with those organizations, offering scholarships for pregnant and parenting students, participating in the Standing With You initiative or refraining from promoting abortion providers to students.

 

The recognition is part of the Pro-Life Generation’s Christian Schools Project, conducted by the Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement, which examines institutional materials, partnerships and student-facing programs at Christian colleges and universities nationwide.
