Faculty and students from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University attended the 2025 American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) in Houston. The event, one of the largest gatherings of physical therapy professionals, provided an opportunity for FranU representatives to present innovative research and contribute to the advancement of the field.

FranU faculty delivered an impressive five peer-reviewed presentations, highlighting diverse areas of physical therapy research:

Faculty Recognized with Prestigious Awards

In addition to presenting groundbreaking research, FranU faculty members were honored with distinguished awards for their contributions to the profession.

  • Professor Phillip Page, PT, PhD, ATC, CSCS, FACSM, received the 2025 American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy - Turner A. Blackburn Hall of Fame / Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious honor recognizes individuals who have made significant and sustained contributions to the specialty of sports physical therapy for at least 25 years.
  • Assistant Professor Danielle Morris, PT, DPT, was awarded the 2025 Susan Effgen Advocacy Award by APTA Pediatrics. This award acknowledges members who have demonstrated outstanding support for the promotion of pediatric physical therapy practice, advocacy, and legislative efforts.

FranU DPT participation at APTA CSM 2025 highlights the University’s commitment to innovation, excellence and leadership in the field.
