Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University has earned the 2023 Military Friendly Schools designation Gold Ranking.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly Schools Awards designation were evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over 1,800 schools participated in the 2023-2024 survey, 530 schools earned awards level designations in Gold, Silver, and Bronze. 250 were selected for “Gold” award status for their leading practices, outcomes, and effective programs. The 2023-2024 Military Friendly Schools list will be published in G.I. Jobs magazine’s May issue.
“We are very excited about receiving the Military Friendly Designation. FranU prides itself of providing excellent service to our students of the armed forces from the moment they join our leaning community until the day they walk across the stage at graduation. Earning this designation further emphasizes FranU’s commitment, effort, and success in providing meaningful support for our military community,” stated Rebecca Cannon, FranU Vice President for Student Affairs.
Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by VIQTORY with input from the Military Friendly Advisory Council of independent leaders in higher education. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey responses and government/agency public data sources within a logic-based assessment. We measure their ability to meet thresholds for Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Repayment, Persistence, and Loan Default rates for all students and specifically for student veterans.
“Institutions earning the Military Friendly Schools designation elevate the standard for military programs globally; they have invested in substantive programs that promote positive outcomes for service members, military spouses, and veterans within their organizations,” said Kayla Lopez, Director of Military Partnerships, Military Friendly.
