Spring 2024 Call for Abstracts

The Research and Scholarship Council (RSC) is excited to announce that this semester we will be hosting a Research and Scholarship Week to highlight the various forms of research and scholarship being conducted across the campus. We will host various events starting on Monday, April 22, 2024 and running through Friday, April 26, 2024. The events will take place in either the Atrium or Board Room in St. Francis Hall. All students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to submit an abstract to present their research and scholarship activities. This year both poster presentations and podium presentations will occur. Poster presentations will be held in the Atrium and podium presentations will be held in the Board Room. Both individual and group presentations will be accepted. The following events will happen during the week:

• Monday, April 22, 2024 – School of Nursing Showcase, 2 pm to 4 pm in the Atrium

• Tuesday, April 23, 2024 – Service-Learning Showcase, Service-Learning Showcase, Oral presentations from 8:30 am to 11 am in the Board Room. Poster presentations will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Atrium.

• Wednesday, April 24, 2024 – Research and Scholarship Learning Community, various presentations will occur throughout the day in the Board Room. More details will be provided once the speakers are finalized.

• Thursday, April 25, 2024 – School of Arts and Sciences Showcase, 3 different 50-minute podium presentation sessions will be hosted starting at 9 am in the Board Room. Poster presentations will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Atrium.

• Friday, April 26, 2024 – School of Health Professions Showcase, 2 pm to 4 pm in the Atrium

FranU faculty, staff, students and alumni who wish to have their projects considered for any of the showcases must submit an abstract of no more than 300 words using the link below. All abstracts are due Sunday, March 24, 2024 by midnight. Abstracts will be reviewed and those accepted will be notified on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Final versions of abstracts for everyone presenting and electronic versions of all posters must be submitted by the close of business on Monday, April 15, 2024. The posters will be printed at the university and the RSC will cover the costs of printing. More information will be sent to those accepted to present.
