This Handbook provides a detailed description of the organizational structure and policies/procedures of the Physician Assistant Program. The Handbook is reviewed and updated annually.
In addition to the General PA student Handbook, students are required to follow all policies and procedures as described in the Clinical Phase Handbook. This Handbook is reviewed and updated annually.
The Physician Assistant Student Organization (PASO) was established in Summer 2016. The purpose of this organization is to unite and support the Physician Assistant students at the university. Additionally, the organization advocates for the Physician Assistant profession within the school, local community, and the state of Louisiana.
The Mission of PASO is to give back to the local community with our time, talents and gifts. In 2016, the PASO Board voted to support the Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital as its annual philanthropy.
