To be considered for admission, you must be graduating or have graduated from high school, have an acceptable HiSET exam score or take the General Education Development (GED) test.

Minimum requirements for consideration:

• TOPS Core Curriculum with a minimum 2.5 GPA computed on core courses only
• GED score of 500 or higher
• HiSET score of 60 or higher
• Students must meet one of the above requirements
• FranU is test optional. Applicants may select to apply test optional or have an ACT composite score of 20 or SAT math and verbal combined score of 1040.
• FranU utilizes Math ACT score* or the ALEKS PPL (Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces: Placement, Preparation and Learning) to assess the readiness of college mathematics course work. Students are allowed to attempt the ALEKS PPL up to 3 times. The assessment must be taken in the Learning Resource Center.
  
  Students applying test-optional will either need to take Math 0310 or meet the criteria outlined in the Math Placement table.
  

Applicants not meeting all admissions criteria will be evaluated for probationary admissions on an individual basis by the Office of Admissions. Students admitted on probation may register for no more than thirteen (13) credit hours [one must be Academic Seminar ACSM 1110] in their first regular semester; or no more than seven (7) credit hours [one must be Academic Seminar ACSM 1110] in their first summer semester. Academic Seminar and developmental courses may count as part or all of these hours. Students must also maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA in their first semester at FranU.

Fall applications submitted by November 1^st will be reviewed as Early Action. These non-binding decisions will be released November 8th. Applications received after November 8th will be released on a rolling basis.

Homeschool Students

Students applying for admission to FranU after completing homeschooling will be evaluated on the basis of the qualifications outlined above.

Math Placement is based on the following:

*Math ACT sub score must be no more than 24 months old on student's first day of MATH class at FranU

**Students should enroll in corresponding sections of MATH 0320 & 1315
