Freshman/First Time Applicant

To be considered for admission, you must be graduating or have graduated from high school, have an acceptable HiSET exam score or take the General Education Development (GED) test.

Minimum requirements for consideration:

  • TOPS Core Curriculum with a minimum 2.5 GPA computed on core courses only
  • GED score of 500 or higher
  • HiSET score of 60 or higher
  • Students must meet one of the above requirements and have an ACT composite score of 20 or SAT math and verbal combined score of 1040

Applicants who otherwise qualify for admission, but has an ACT composite score below 20, an SAT math and verbal combined score below 1040, or a GPA below a 2.5 will be evaluated for provisional admissions on an individual basis by the Office of Admissions. Students admitted provisionally may register for no more than thirteen (13) credit hours [one must be Academic Seminar ACSM 1110] in their first regular semester; or no more than seven (7) credit hours [one must be Academic Seminar ACSM 1110] in their first summer semester. Academic Seminar and developmental courses may count as part or all of these hours. Students must also maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA in their first semester at FranU.

Homeschool Students

Students applying for admission to FranU after completing homeschooling will be evaluated on the basis of the qualifications outlined above.
