The purpose Health Sciences program is to provide a flexible pathway for students who have earned either an Associate’s degree or a minimum of 60 credit hours of coursework to obtain their Bachelor’s degree.
The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences is to educate students through a cross-disciplinary curriculum that will serve as the foundation for further academic pursuits or career advancement.
Students will take courses ranging from writing for science research to business statistics to theological bioethics. Health Sciences students will encounter a diverse range of subject matter that will enrich their learning experience and prepare them to meet and exceed the expectations of the healthcare industry.
Graduates will enter the workforce with skills in management, communication and community service, with additional competencies in healthcare administration and the ability to serve the population in an ethical, responsible manner.
The healthcare administration field is wide-reaching, offering careers in many different fields and settings. Some health sciences graduates may pursue a career working hands-on with people, while others may choose a career path focused on data and analysis.
Health sciences students may work in offices, hospitals, nursing homes or group medical practices and often serve a clinical administrative or service role. Careers include:

The health science bachelor’s degree consists of 120 curriculum credit hours. A multi-disciplinary curriculum provides students with the opportunity to learn from a variety of perspectives, making for a well-rounded education and a wide range of career opportunities.
Through courses that cover healthcare systems and trends, principles in management and theological bioethics, students will gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to lead in healthcare. The health science bachelor’s degree culminates in a capstone project through which students will showcase their strengths in management and leadership.
