Welcome to our campus community at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University! We look forward to helping you achieve your educational goals, and our Wolf Pack Orientation program is one of several programs designed to support you.

Who should attend:

ADMITTED STUDENTS MUST SCHEDULE AN ADVISING APPOINTMENT AND MEET WITH AN ADVISOR PRIOR TO ORIENTATION. Please contact the Office of Admissions to be directed to the appropriate advisor.

Wolf Pack Orientation is a required program for incoming students. Those students who have been readmitted to FranU, meaning they have taken classes previously at FranU, can choose to attend orientation if they wish to receive updated pertinent information. Students who are participating in online programs are not required to attend orientation.

Family/guests (limit of two maximum) are invited, but are not required to attend orientation. However, we strongly encourage their attendance, especially if this is their student’s first university experience. Since the information presented is new it really helps to have someone else to help remember all of the details.

Location:

Wolf Pack Orientation is held in the Biological Learning Research Building (Room 100) located at 5222 Brittany Drive, Suite B, Baton Rouge, LA 70808. Parking is available at 5345 Brittany Drive between our Liberal Arts and Sciences buildings.

*In observing the trends and recommendations related to COVID-19, location is subject to change to a virtual format. In the meantime, the space will be set up to observe social distancing.



Fees:

Student: The cost of orientation is $50 which covers all expenses for program materials, lunch, parking tag, and student ID.

Family/Guest: A family/guest orientation fee is $25 per person and limited to two guests maximum. Lunch is included with this fee.


Refunds:

All orientation fees (both students and family/guests) are non-refundable. Should you decide not to attend FranU then you are responsible for notifying the Office of Admissions at (225) 526-1631.


Orientation Dates and Registration:

Incoming SPRING 2021 students (ONLY if your start term is SPRING 2021), select one date from the following sessions:

  • Session 1 – Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 8:00am – 1:00pm
  • Session 2 - Wednesday, January, 6, 2021 from 8:00am – 1:00pm

More Information

Dress:

  • Dress for orientation is casual and comfortable. We suggest you bring a light sweater in case the room temperature becomes cool.
  • An optional student guided walking tour will be available at the conclusion of orientation so wear comfortable shoes if you’d like to take a walk around campus to familiarize yourself with the layout.

Parking tag and Student ID

New students will receive their student ID and parking tag at orientation. Instructions on how to submit a parking tag form will come previous to your scheduled orientation date.

Lunch

Lunch will be provided during orientation.
