The purpose of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU) Institutional Review Board (IRB) is to make certain that people who participate in research are treated ethically.
FranU recognizes and accepts the responsibility to protect the rights and welfare of human research participants. We are guided by the ethical principles published in the report by the National Commission for the Protection of Human Subjects of Biomedical and Behavioral Research (Ethical Principles and Guidelines for the Protection of Human Subjects of Research).
Are you planning any kind of project that involves collecting data from human participants? The IRB application, submitted through IRBManager, our online protocol management system, will help us determine if your project needs IRB review and if it can be approved.
Please log-in and begin your IRB application.
Click on the links below for the steps you need to take to get your project reviewed by the IRB. Learn how to use IRBManager and complete your online IRB application. If you are with FranU, and your project does not require IRB review, click on the link to find out about FranU feasibility review.
If you have questions or need further information, please email IRB@franu.edu.
