Off-Duty Baton Rouge Police Officers employed by the University assist existing Security Staff in providing optimal protection for faculty, staff, students, and guests on our campus. The hours these officers are on campus are as follows:
8:00am – 9:00pm Monday through Thursday
8:00am – 4:00pm Friday

Uniformed security guards employed by Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center are staffed 24 hours a day for emergency response. The security officers can provide escort upon request, patrol the University parking lots, respond to alarm notifications and secure the University buildings after hours.
RAVE Alert is voice message, email, and text message alert system used for incidents which present an imminent threat to the life, health, or safety to the general campus population. These messages provide emergency information and instructions for your protection. Each semester, you are automatically enrolled into the RAVE Alert system, therefore, it is important that you must current, accurate cell phone number and alternate email address is registered with the Registrar's Office.
The fitness center is located on the 2nd floor of the Medical Plaza along Hennessy Blvd. Membership is $75 a semester for all FranU faculty, staff, and students. This space is an exclusive center that is open to the FMOL and FranU communities. They have cardio and weight machines, plus shower accessibility. This is open 24/7 and is badge accessible. You can join the fitness center by going to the facility and providing your student information.
You@FranU is a free, 24/7 online, anonymous well-being platform. FranU students login using their student information and have access to tons of interactive ways to perform self-check-ins, set goals, and access personalized resources created specifically for our FranU community! All students would need to create an account before utilizing these free resources. You can login by going to MyPortal, then under MyResources and Links click the You@FranU link.

The Office of Student Affairs is home to free counseling and student advocacy services. Confidential personal counseling services assist with everything from interpersonal relationships, depression, stress, conflict management, etc. Student advocacy services assist students through our food pantry that is stocked with non-perishable food items, school supplies, and hygiene products. You can also request financial assistance through the St. Francis Emergency Fund for unforeseen circumstances that may hinder your educational goals.
