During this skills lab practicum, students apply the nutrition care process to assessment topics covered in the NUTR 5205-SL Advanced Methods of Nutrition Assessment course. Alternate supervised practice experiences are provided in the form of simulation, case studies, and role playing. This course may be divided into smaller sections, allowing students to practice skills with a lab partner, standardized patient, or on a mannequin under the supervision of a clinical faculty member. Application of these skills prepare students to begin supervised practice experiences in a dietetic internship.
